ThemaVis is a Python library for creating mainly thematic maps, but also some other kinds of plots. This image shows an example output of the current ThemaVis code:
The maps produced with ThemaVis are currently mainly intended for printing, and the generated output are SVG files. However, it is planned to also produce dynamic interactive maps using a library like for example OpenLayers. ThemaVis is in an early implementation phase, the code is very incomplete and should be considered as experimental. However feel free to have a look into our current code base in the Sourceforge SVN repository. The code is licenced under a GPL open-source licence. Contributions are of course welcome...
